Location:

This position is responsible to perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and configuration of computer related hardware and software. The incumbent is expected to provide high quality, efficient, proactive and reactive technical maintenance support services as an extension of the helpdesk.

Key responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and configuration of computer related hardware and software.
  • Provide high quality, efficient, proactive and reactive technical maintenance support services as an extension of the helpdesk.
  • Work with supplier to handle repair & maintenance of hardware devices.
  • Record all changes (i.e. on lamp/toner/camera), implementations and support in a ticket.
  • Communicate with users about the maintenance, change and outage plan.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties before and during and on completion of any work with the status so that all parties are aware of the work progress.

Required qualification:
  • A professional Certificate, Diploma in Computer Engineering (Communication/ Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT) or equivalent.

Selection Criteria:
  • At least one (1) year of relevant work experience. Direct experience in system hardware support and helpdesk system operations are an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated a positive attitude and skills in providing a high quality customer service.
  • Proven experience/Knowledge in system and network troubleshooting and windows.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively; both independently and in a team environment.

Position Details

Professional, Full Time (Contract)

  • This position is responsible to administer, deploy, support and upgrade applications and Operating Systems that are running on computer systems across the campus.
  • Key responsibilities:Perform day-to-day technical support for ICT related equipment such as PC desktop, notebook, tablet, projector, document camera, printer, scanner, audio-visual equipment, and etc.
  • Perform day-to-day technical support for general software application such as MS Windows, MAC OS, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet browsers, Antivirus and other authorised software.
  • Maintain and monitor user’s hardware and software to ensure high availability.
  • Basic network setup and troubleshoot user’s networked computers and peripherals.
  • Respond to service issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Manage and update hardware and software.
  • Test and evaluate new technology.
  • Explore relevant ICT solution related to operations.

Required qualification:

  • A bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
  • Selection Criteria:At least one (1) to two (2) years of hands on technical support and troubleshooting experience. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiar with Microsoft OS products/software. Knowledge and experience in Linux is highly regarded.

3. IT OFFICER

Position Details

  • Professional, Full Time (Contract)
  • This position is responsible to provide support, troubleshoot and resolve issues for the University’s surveillance systems (CCTV and door access system) and to ensure the proper functioning of the PABX and UPS system.
  • Key responsibilities:Install, maintain, troubleshoot, propose, upgrade and resolve issues related to the university’s surveillance and security systems (CCTV and Door access).
  • Maintain and monitor the surveillance and security hardware and software to ensure high availability.
  • Provide training on the operation, administration and management of the surveillance and door access systems.
  • Plan, improve and implement security processes on new security technologies.
  • Conduct cross functional training for other colleagues in ICT.
  • Perform day-to-day technical support for audio-visual equipment and PA systems.
  • Carry out network cabling work.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all the UPS in the campus.

Required qualification:
  • A bachelor degree in Computer Science or related computer field.
  • Selection Criteria:Minimum one (1) year of direct experience in CCTV and door access administration. It is mandatory to possess both operations and vendor/project management.
  • Experience with device configuration for network switched, UPS, door access system, CCTV installation, IP video, video storage and archiving and other peripherals related to surveillance system.
  • Experience in administering Local Area Network (LAN), Windows server.
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems and maintaining system security. Proven to have troubleshooting knowledge in Networking and Microsoft Windows services such as DHCP, IP address and DNS.
  • Basic knowledge in PA system such as microphone, speakers, audio mixers and amplifier is an added advantage.
  • Possess problem solving skills, technical and logical thought process.
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal skills and conversant in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
