Position: PENERBIT RANCANGAN (B41) (B41)

Position Type: MySTEP Personnel

Position Status: Contract

Salary Offered: RM2,100/month


Work scope


I. Planning and coordinating the setting of Radio segments / schedules, KPKT Radio interview sessions with ministries, departments and local authorities;

II. Host and ensure KPKT radio runs according to plan;

III. Manage all radio activities such as interviews to promote Radio KPKT on social media: and

IV. Delivering all important information issued by ministries, departments and local authorities, current summary bulletins, current issues at home and abroad as well as sharing good tips according to the designated segment

Eligibility requirements:

1. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
2. Aged 18 years and above on the closing date of the position application.

The Main Phase of the Establishment of KPKT


At the beginning of its establishment, KPKT was known as the Ministry of Local Government and Housing. In 1971 until 1978, the main function of the Ministry of Local Government and Housing was divided into two, namely the housing function under the Ministry of Housing and Village Development and the function of local government under the Ministry of Local Government and Federal Territories.
July 18, 1978

The functions of housing and local government have been merged again through the establishment of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
May 15, 2013

Following the reorganization of several Ministries after the Ko-13 General Election (13th GE), KPKT was reorganized and known as the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government. The role and function of KPKT also involves the implementation of programs and activities to improve the quality of life of city residents.

After the 14th General Election (GE-14), KPKT was known as the Ministry of Housing and Local Government. However, the function and role of the Ministry to lead the municipal agenda has continued.

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government was reorganized into the Ministry of Local Government Development after the 15th General Election (GE-15). At the same time, housing fungi are still focused.

Objective

1. Ensure the provision of adequate, quality and affordable housing.

2. Mainstreaming digitization in Local Authority service delivery

3. Empowering urban community development.

4. Improve firefighting and rescue preparedness.

5. Prioritizing urban sustainability, green urban development and resilience.

6. Transforming solid waste management towards the development of a circular economy.

Roles and Functions

Provide affordable housing for qualified people, regulate aspects of private housing development and stratified housing management and resolve housing disputes.

Assist and guide Local Authorities (PBT) in providing quality municipal services, socioeconomic facilities and recreation to meet the needs of local residents.

Provide efficient and effective prevention, firefighting and rescue services to preserve the safety of life and property.

Providing policy and advisory services to the Federal Government, State Government and PBT regarding planning, management, development and conservation of land in accordance with the National Physical Plan.

Provide policy and advisory services to the Federal Government, State Government and PBT regarding the planning, implementation and management of landscape, park and recreation areas.

Provide policy and advisory services to the Federal Government, State Government and PBT regarding development and regulators.
