Objective
1. Ensure the provision of adequate, quality and affordable housing.
2. Mainstreaming digitization in Local Authority service delivery
3. Empowering urban community development.
4. Improve firefighting and rescue preparedness.

6. Transforming solid waste management towards the development of a circular economy.
Roles and Functions
Provide affordable housing for qualified people, regulate aspects of private housing development and stratified housing management and resolve housing disputes.
Assist and guide Local Authorities (PBT) in providing quality municipal services, socioeconomic facilities and recreation to meet the needs of local residents.
Provide efficient and effective prevention, firefighting and rescue services to preserve the safety of life and property.
Providing policy and advisory services to the Federal Government, State Government and PBT regarding planning, management, development and conservation of land in accordance with the National Physical Plan.
Provide policy and advisory services to the Federal Government, State Government and PBT regarding the planning, implementation and management of landscape, park and recreation areas.
