Miri Port Authority is inviting applications from aspiring candidates who possess the right attitude, knowledge, experiences and of high-achievers, self-motivated and trustworthy to fill the following two (2) vacant posts:

LIST 2 VACANT POSTS MIRI PORT AUTHORITY-CLOSING 28 FEB 2023

1. Post : Penolong Pegawai Tadbir, Gred N29 (1 vacancy)

Classification : Administration and Support

Service Group : Support

Post Status : Permanent

Salary Matrix : Minimum: RM1,493.00 Maximum: RM5,672.00

Requirements:

a. Malaysian citizen domiciled in Sarawak.

b. At least 18 years of age on the date the advertisement is closed.

c. (i) Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan (STPM) or qualification as its equivalent recognised by the Government.  (Starting salary: RM1,493.00); or

(ii) Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia or qualification as its equivalent recognised by the

 Government.  (Starting salary: RM1,493.00); or

(iii) Diploma in related field recognised by the Government from any local higher

 institution or qualification recognised as its equivalent.  (Starting salary: RM1,770.95); and

d. Credit in Bahasa Malaysia (at least grade C) at SPM/SVM level or qualification

recognised as its equivalent.

e. Serving officer as Pembantu Tadbir (Perkeranian/Operasi) and had been confirmed

in service and possess the qualification as per (c) above is eligible to apply.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in managing, supervising and leading tasks related to Human Resource

Management and Development.

2. Post : Pembantu Keselamatan, Gred KP19 (1 vacancy)

Classification : Security and Public Defense

Service Group : Support

Post Status : Permanent

Salary Matrix : Minimum: RM1,360.00 Maximum: RM4,052.00

Requirements:

a. Female Malaysian citizen domiciled in Sarawak.

b. At least 18 years of age on the date the advertisement is closed.

c. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or academic qualification as its equivalent recognized

by the Government. (Starting salary: RM1,360.00); or

d. Ex-police or army with the rank of Constable or its equivalent and had been

confirmed in service with good service record. Ability to speak, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia satisfactorily. (Starting salary: RM1,360.00); or

e. SPM or academic qualification as its equivalent recognized by the Government

with Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Tahap 2 in related field.  (Starting salary: RM1,416.40); or

f. SPM or academic qualification as its equivalent recognized by the Government

with Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Tahap 3 in related field. (Starting salary: RM1,472.80); and

g. Physical and visual conditions as follows:

i) At least 1.57m height for man and 1.53m height for woman;

ii) At least 48kg body weight for man and 46kg body weight for woman;

iii) Body Mass Index (BMI) between 19 and 26;

iv) At least 79cm during breath-in and 84cm normal chest measurement for man

only;

v) Pass in visual test for Left and Right eyes when tested separately with the

resolution of V6/9 without glasses;

vi) Not colour blind and no hearing problem;

vii) Medically checked and certified healthy by certified Medical Practitioner.

viii) Applicant under (c), (e) and (f) above must have credit in Bahasa Malaysia (at least grade C) at SPM/SVM level or its equivalent recognized by the

Government.

Job scope:

Perform body searches and screenings on female offshore crew or ship passengers and

their belongings which may include physical searches, examine checked luggage

through X-ray or hand searches, if necessary, control terminal entry and exit points and

other administrative tasks.
