2. Environmental Officer ( MY-CISEC) - Contract

To be fully responsible for environmental management and implementation of all control measures for Sinter Plant construction project;

Ensures overall environmental compliance of the construction project and align with environmental legislation, DOE directives, EIA, EMP and any other Sakura requirements.
Advise and assist project team on the relevant legal requirements and best practices including requirements of pollution control systems applicable to the project.
Report to Sakura’s HSSEQ (Environment) section immediately on any environmental incidents and non-compliances;

Supervise the work of erosion and sediment control on site as specified in the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP) and Environmental Management Plan;
Conduct daily inspections on pollution control measures, and Best Management Practices (BMPs) and sediment erosion control structures (including perimeter drain, check dam, silt trap, wash through, slope protection and others);

Carry out in-situ measurement of turbidity at the point of discharge within 30 minutes after rain or once every day for 24 hours of continuous rain;

Arrange and coordinate environmental audit of the Sinter Plant construction project once every four (4) months starting from the date of commencement to completion of earthworks and construction;
Site meeting once every two (2) weeks with Sakura’s project team, HSSEQ Department and contractor, prepare minutes of meeting and follow through on any actions required by the project team;
Attend and report project compliance in monthly HSE Committee Meeting conducted by Sakura’s HSSEQ Department;

Conduct regular trainings/toolbox talks to project & Sakura team on environmental requirements and best practices for construction sites;

Maintain the mandatory environmental records such as site daily log book, rain gauge records, etc.;
Arrange and coordinate with service provider to implement the waste management and disposal. Provide updated scheduled waste inventory and disposal to Sakura’s HSSEQ (Environment) section before 5th of each month;

Prepare and submit the required environmental reports to DOE in a timely manner.
Any other reports and meetings as and when required by Sakura.

DEPARTMENT: HSSEQ
NO. OF VACANCIES: 1REQUIREMENT:Possess at least Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or any other related field i.e., Planning or Construction Management.
Must be a Malaysian Certified Inspector of Sediment & Erosion Control (MY-CISEC) registered with Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia or an equivalent qualification.
Good knowledge in Environmental Quality Act 1974, Guidelines for Erosion and Sediment Control and other relevant compliance obligations related to construction phase.
Minimum of three (3) year working experience in construction phase.

3. Logistics Manager - Permanent

The incumbent who will be reporting to Services Manager and will be overseeing the movement, distribution, and storage of materials in an organization. The incumbent is to control the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers received products on time and within the agreed shipping date as per the Sales Agreement and oversee warehouse, inventory control, material handling, customer service, transportation, and planning. The incumbent ensures to negotiate shipping and supplier costs and to improve the efficiency of the company’s supply chain within the budget.

We need a highly motivated self-driven individual who can work independently whilst providing support to the team and the operations and have the following underpinning knowledge:Oversees Vessel Chartering & Order execution. This is for raw materials and final product of approximately 900,000mt pa;
Oversees Warehousing & Inventory control both in Bintulu and in consignment in the USA and Europe;
Oversee the Warehouse & Inventory control system;
Oversee logistic and shipping arrangements for both Import and Export;
Do yearly raw materials and final product logistics planning. This includes raw material contract negotiations; and
Ensure compliance to Sakura safety rules and regulations.

4. Procurement Superintendent - Permanent

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the incumbent is to manage and supervise all procurement activities for the purchase of consumable stores and services required by Sakura Ferroalloys Operation.

Ensure submission of Import Duty exemption to Customs. Become second focal point of contact in the absence of Procurement Manager & Warehouse Manager.

Produce procurement operations monthly reporting to support Procurement Manager & Warehouse Manager in decision making and upward monthly reporting.

Develop and groom the procurement staff and embeds the culture of continuous learning
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for daily procurement operations
Performing post-award contract management. Monitor the expiry of the contract and develop a master plan for contract extension/renewal
Co-develop new tender with contract holder
Leading the procurement process that includes tenders, agreements and administering tender evaluation by the committee and coordinating award recommendation
Supporting the Procurement Manager & Warehouse Manager.
Manage and monitor all procurement activities in SYSPRO
Manage all procurement activities according to Sakura IMS policies and procedures and other legal requirement

5. Mechanical Technician - Conveyor maintainance - Permanent

The incumbent will be reporting to ensure reliability of the conveyor belts on the plant by servicing, maintaining and repairing them to a high standard to prevent furnace downtime. We need a highly motivated self-driven individual who is able to work independently whilst providing support to the team and the operations and have the following underpinning knowledge:

Maintain a high level of safety throughout the execution of assigned tasksDo lagging of pulleys
Keep all the belts on the plant trained.
Set, service and replace belt scrapers as required.
Inspect and report on the conditions of the trough, return and impact idlers.
Do daily inspections and condition monitoring and give feedback regarding maintenance required for all conveyor belts on the plant.
Taking care of belt splicing equipment and tools.
Ensuring that the correct type and quantities of belt repair spares and consumables are always available on site

To ensure all conveyor belts on the plant is serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard and to ensure the conveyor belts are available to production in such a way as to minimize any downtime that may be caused. Including:Hot and cold splicing of conveyor belts
Hot and cold repairs to damaged belt covers.
Hot and cold repairs of damaged belt splices
